I like talking about that sort of thing. For me, art is about a sense of play that makes meaning appear.

The whole act of creating seems to be play,even if it is exhausting enough to be called work.

But it is interesting how many people assume that art is about "expressing" something.

I tell my painting students that when they stop looking for a style,one will emerge. Looking for one usually just gives you stylization.
