How is it that all rebel alliance characters, no matter how weird they look, speak English but Chewbacca can't speak a lick?

@Loreen72 The ewoks helped the rebel alliance sure, but they were NOT members. They just happened to live on the Endore moon.

Look, the Ewoks wanted to EAT Luke, Han, and Chewbacca. Not a very "alliance-like" thing to do.
